Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey has stressed the need to promote indigenous technology, research and innovation to take India to the forefront globally in the fields of technology and manufacturing.
Mr. Dubey was speaking at the inauguration of the AWTIS-26 (Aaryans World Tech & Innovation Summit) National Conference on Technology and Innovation in Pune. He said India needs to focus on achieving self-reliance in technology while encouraging innovation.
He called upon young researchers and start-ups to undertake innovative work in emerging fields such as hydrogen energy, Artificial Intelligence, semiconductors and space technology, and contribute to the country’s development.
The Minister said the conference would help strengthen the linkage between technology, research, innovation and industry. He stressed the need to increase the use of modern and environment-friendly technologies in the mining, energy and industrial sectors to achieve sustainable development.
Experts in green energy and biofuels Dr. Jyeshtharaj Joshi, hydrogen fuel technology expert Dr. Raman Vedarajan, Automotive Research Association of India official Sandeep Rairikar and CEO of Aryans Group of Companies Manohar Jagtap were present on the occasion.
The three-day conference will conclude on Saturday, with various sessions focusing on innovations and industry requirements in technology, research, energy and minerals.
