The chief minister of Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb is currently under quarantine at home after two family members and nine among the 11 CRPF jawans in the chief minister’s security had tested positive recently.
He is however carrying out all his duties from his official residence here. Two members of the Chief Minister’s family, along with 14 security personnel, recently contracted the virus.
“As of now, the Chief Minister is stable and doing his official work from home. All precautionary measures have been taken to ensure that he does not get the infection,” said a senior official here today. Meanwhile, Deb held a Cabinet meeting through videoconferencing on Tuesday.
