Tamil Nadu CM C Joseph Vijay announces new vehicle, driver and fuel allowance for MLAs.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has announced a slew of measures in a suo moto statement in the Assembly today.

In a new announcement, he said that all the Members of the Legislative Assembly will be provided with a new vehicle, a driver and an assistant, along with Rs. 75 thousand monthly for expenses on fuel. He said that this initiative was to ensure effective interaction for the people of each constituency.

In another announcement, he said that a new 400-bedded hospital will be built at a cost of Rs 300 Crore at North Chennai.

Another announcement was to raise the medical insurance for treatment under the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme. The insurance amount has been raised from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 25 Lakhs.

The major announcement for procurement of milk has been raised from Rs. 38 to Rs. 41 /- per litre. The Chief Minister’s announcement has been appreciated by many of the members in the Assembly and also the Speaker,  J.C.D.Prabhakar
