The Manipur Government today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Jal Shakti in New Delhi for the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil, Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, Deputy Chief Minister and Public Health Engineering Minister Yumnam Losii Dikho, and senior officials of the Centre and the State Government.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0 is not merely a government scheme but a key step towards realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
He praised the Ministry of Jal Shakti for framing the mission guidelines and reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to its effective implementation. Mr. Singh said Manipur would work to achieve the mission’s objectives in both letter and spirit.
