J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha orders termination of five govt employees over terror links.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has ordered the termination of five government employees for their alleged active links with banned terrorist organisations.

Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the dismissed employees include a government teacher, a laboratory technician, an assistant lineman, an employee from the Forest Department and a driver in the Health and Medical Education Department.

The driver, currently lodged in Central Jail Srinagar, has been identified as an indexed overground worker of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen with sustained contact with a Pakistan-based handler.

Since 2020, the Union territory administration under Sinha has dismissed 85 government employees after they were found to be working for terror groups. Officials said the aim is to target the “roots of the terror ecosystem” and its “penetration” within the government institutions.
