Jharkhand govt extends lockdown till June 17

The existing lockdown which ended this morning in Jharkhand has been further extended for a period of one week till June 17, following certain relaxations in Unlock-2 guidelines issued by the State Government.

The existing Health Safety Week will be observed in the State till June 17, along with a Complete Lockdown during the weekend from evening 4 pm on June 12 to morning 6 am on June 14 falling in between.

With today’s extension,lockdown in Jharkhand has been further extended for the sixth consecutive time for another one week till June 17.

Complete lockdown in the State will be observed during the weekend falling during the Health Safety Week.

During Complete Lockdown only Medical facilities and shops have been allowed to open.

In Unlock-2, Relaxations to open all shops in 23 districts of the State till 4 pm has been given.

No relaxation has been given in the most infected district of East Singhbhum, where all shops except Shopping malls, retail chain stores selling garment, cloth, jewellery, footwear and cosmetics will remain closed.

All government and private offices shall be now open till 4 pm with one third attendance.

E passes for any movement within the State for private vehicles is necessary.

Inter-state buses have been prohibited while mandatory home quarantine of 7 days for people visiting from outside the state has been made compulsory during the lockdown.

Other existing guidelines shall remain same.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand government is focused towards increasing the Vaccination and more than 46 lakh people have been administered with COVID-19 vaccine in the state.
