BJP National President Nitin Nabin arrived in Ranchi on Saturday on a two-day visit to Jharkhand. From the airport, he proceeded to Late Karpoori Thakur Chowk to pay floral tributes and later offered flowers at the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
On the occasion, Nitin Nabin said that Jharkhand is his birthplace and his second home, and that returning here gives him a special sense of joy. Union Minister Annapurna Devi, along with party office-bearers and workers, described his visit as significant for the organisation.
“The BJP president will arrive at Ranchi Airport on June 6 at 11.30 a.m. A tree plantation programme is slated to take place in the vicinity of the airport. The same day, he will participate in a ‘Prabuddhjan Samvad’ programme at the party office,” Jharkhand BJP general secretary Amar Bauri said.
Mr. Nabin’s visit comes ahead of the elections to the two Rajya Sabha seats in Jharkhand. The last date for filing nominations is June 8, and the election day is June 18.
