Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced ‘Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana’ under which one crore households will get rooftop solar system. In a social media post, Mr Modi said that the people of the country should have their own solar roof top system. He added that this will not only reduce the electricity bill of the poor and middle class, but also make India self-reliant in energy sector.
