In the last ten years, the number of people donating organs has increased more than three times. In 2013, around five thousand people came forward to donate their organs in the country. Now the number has increased to over 15 thousand organ donors annually. The central government is making arrangements for organ retrieval in all the hospitals and medical colleges across the country by the end of next year.
