A day after Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for coronavirus, actor Aishwarya Rai and her daugher Aaradhya have also tested positive for the virus. Amitabh and Abhishek have been admitted to the hospital.
Meanwhile, since Aishwarya and Aaradhya are asymptomatic, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has said they will take a written declaration from Aishwarya if she and her daughter wanted to be treated at home.
The Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital said that Amitabh is stable with mild symptoms and is currently admitted in an isolation unit. Amitabh, 77, said in a tweet on Saturday that he has tested positive and appealed to those who were in close proximity to him in the past 10 days to get themselves tested.
All four bungalows of Bachchan family named Jalsa, Janak, Pratiksha and Vatsa have been sealed and declared as containment zone.
The BMC is now conducting contact tracing among all staff members of the family and till the filing of this report 30 have been identified as high risk contacts.
Meanwhile, Jaya Bachchan has come negative but will be tested later again to overrule any negative reporting, the BMC official said.
