Last rites of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav were performed today with full hounours in Saifai, his native village in Etawah district, of Uttar Pradesh. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Loksabha speaker Om Birla, congress leader Mallikarjun Khadge, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel, CM of Jharkhand Hemant Soren, former Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu, film actress Jaya Bacchan along with her son Abhishek Bachchan and thousands of Samajwadi Party workers and leaders attendant the funeral of Mulayam Singh Yadav. His son and party president Akhilesh Yadav lit the pyre.
Mulayam Singh Yadav died yesterday morning in a private hospital in Gurugram after a prolonged illness. State government has announced three days mourning on the death of the former chief minister.
