Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the 4th Lavender Festival at Government Degree College in Bhaderwah town of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Akashvani Correspondent reports that, organised by CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine under the theme “Lavender Goes Global,” the two-day festival showcases the achievements of the Purple Revolution and the expanding lavender economy in the region.
The event highlights the growing success of lavender cultivation and entrepreneurship, which has created new livelihood opportunities for farmers and young entrepreneurs across Jammu and Kashmir.
These statements were made by the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Earth Sciences, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Department of Atomic Energy, Department of Space, and Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, Dr. Jitendra Singh who inaugurated the 2-day 4th Lavender Festival 2026.
BCCI President Mithun Manhas, who also happens to be a son of the soil, was Guest of Honour on the occasion.
