The Haryana Legislative Assembly will host the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Northern Zone-II Conference of the India Region from June 8 to 10.
The Haryana Legislative Assembly Secretariat said all preparations for the three-day conference are being completed in a time-bound manner. A video conference was held yesterday with senior officials from legislative bodies of participating states to review and finalize arrangements.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on delegate arrivals, accommodation, transportation, protocol, security, and facilities at the conference venues. Officials also reviewed measures to ensure smooth coordination and convenience for delegates coming from different states.
Lok Sabha Secretary-General Utpal Kumar and Rajya Sabha Secretary-General P.C. Modi participated in the review meeting. Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, and senior officials of various state legislative assemblies also attended.
The conference is expected to provide a platform for legislators from Northern Zone-II states to exchange views on parliamentary practices and strengthen cooperation among legislative institutions.
