Union Minister of state for Information and Broadcasting, L Murugan reviewed preparations for the upcoming 54th International Film Festival of India in Goa today.
He also held a meeting with Chief Minister of Goa, Dr Pramod Sawant at his residence in Panaji.
Speaking to media after the meeting, Mr Murugan said that the popularity of IFFI has grown year by year after Goa had been declared as a permanent venue. He said that nowadays people from film industry are coming forward for the success of IFFI.
Murugan said that this year the registration is expected to cross over 25 thousand. He inspected venues of activities of IFFI like film bazaar and movie screenings. Chief Minister Dr Sawant assured that Goa is fully prepared for IFFI. The 54th edition of IFFI will take place from 20th to 28th November 2023 in Goa.
