High Commissioner Of India To Sri Lanka Santosh Jha Says Benefit Of Existing Free Trade Agreement Is Greater To Sri Lankan Exporters Than To Indian Exporters.

High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha has said that the benefit of existing free trade agreement is greater to Sri Lankan exporters than to Indian exporters.

Speaking at the inaugural dinner meeting of Rotary Club of Colombo West, Mr. Jha added that the oncoming Economic and Technology Cooperation Agreement would further strengthen the existing agreement in addition to allowing services under it.

Talking about the current India and Sri Lanka relations, he said that the bilateral relations have been at their best. He mentioned the recent visits of leadership on both sides and laid stress on the joint vision document that was brought out in July last year.

The Indian High Commissioner described the benefits that could be achieved by people of both countries through better connectivity as well as energy connectivity.
