The death toll from the powerful earthquake that struck western Colombia yesterday has crossed 200 mark.
Citing local authorities media reported that more than 200 people were killed and over 3,000 people are still missing.
The death toll is expected to rise further as many are feared trapped under the rubble. Search and rescue operations are underway in western Colombia.
The majority of the deaths were concentrated in the western cities of Cali, Pereira, Manizales, and Quibdo, where more than 100 buildings have collapsed.
The 7.4 magnitude earthquake is one of the strongest to hit the South American country in decades.
