Ram Navami is being celebrated across the state of Jharkhand with religious fervour and great enthusiasm, including in the state capital, Ranchi. On the birth anniversary of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram, mass processions and grand tableaux with artists decked out as Lord Rama,
Lord Hanuman, and Mata Sita are being taken out with great pomp and show. People are flocking to martial arts shows carried out in various akharas.
With swords and sticks in little hands, the Ram Navami procession carried out in Ranchi reverberates with the chants of Jai Shree Ram and Jai Hanuman.
The famous Ramnavmi procession with horses and chariots carried out in the Hazaribagh district witnessed sword fighting and stick stunts by the young girls of Arsha Kanya Gurukul. People flocked from their houses and were thrilled to see the little ones playing drums and chanting the name of Lord Ram.
