The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting searches at multiple locations in Punjab and Chandigarh in connection with a corruption and disproportionate assets case involving former Punjab Industries Minister and Congress leader Sunder Sham Arora, his son Prateek Arora and others.
Search operations are being carried out at premises linked to Marbella Group, Gulmohar Township Group, their promoters and Sanjeev Juneja.
Officials at the ED said that the investigation is related to alleged corruption, irregularities in the allotment of plots by Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC), and changes in ownership of the allotted plots.
The searches come ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections and are linked to a corruption and disproportionate assets case involving Arora, along with alleged irregularities in Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC) plot allotments and subsequent changes in ownership.
