In Uttarakhand, the Char Dham Yatra has resumed following an improvement in weather conditions today.
Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swarup said that necessary directions have been issued to the concerned district magistrates.
The Char Dham Yatra had been suspended from the afternoon of September 26 until September 27 in view of the weather forecast and the safety of pilgrims.
Meanwhile, repair and strengthening work is underway on the Kedarnath Dham trekking route near Chirbasa.
The route was damaged by debris and boulders following heavy rainfall near Chirbasa, about two and a half kilometres above Gaurikund. Movement through this section is currently completely closed.
The pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham is continuing smoothly through helicopter services.
The administration has appealed to pilgrims to stay updated on weather conditions and follow the directions issued by the local administration and police.
