More than 8 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in India

The cumulative number of COVID19 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed eight crore 40 lakh. Union Health Ministry said, more than five lakh 62 thousand vaccine doses were given till 8 PM yesterday.

Out of which over four lakh 57 thousand beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and more than one lakh five thousand beneficiaries received 2nd dose of vaccine.

The Ministry said, more than three crore 44 lakh beneficiaries aged over 60 years have received first dose and over eight lakh 61 thousand beneficiaries were given 2nd dose till date. The World’s largest vaccination drive was rolled out countrywide on 16th of January this year.
