Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness light snowfall and rain over higher reaches from today to October 10. According to Meteorological Department, J&K will witness thunderstorms, gusty winds and scattered rainfall in the next few days.
Met Department advised people to ensure safe storage of apples and paddy in view of the expected weather conditions from today to October 10. From October 11 to 15, the weather will remain partly cloudy.
Meanwhile, temperatures remained above normal at several places in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday. Srinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius, which was 5.3 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature settled at 12.3 degrees Celsius, 3.3 degrees above normal.
In Jammu, the maximum temperature was 33 degrees Celsius, 0.6 degrees above normal, while the minimum settled at 23 degrees Celsius, 2.1 degrees above normal.
