India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crosses 155 crore 28 lakh mark

India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 155 crore 28 lakh mark yesterday. Out of the total vaccination, more than 90 crore 11 lakh Vaccine doses were administered as first dose while 64 crore 84 lakh doses given as second dose. Union Health Ministry said, more than 33 lakh 12 thousand Precaution Doses for the identified categories of beneficiaries for COVID vaccination have been administered so far. Over 3 crore 12 lakh vaccine doses have been given to Children aged 15 to 18 years so far.
 
The Ministry also said, more than 63 lakh Vaccine Doses have been administered till 7 PM yesterday. The vaccination exercise as a tool to protect the most vulnerable population groups in the country from COVID-19 continues to be regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level.
