The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red color warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim till tomorrow.
The IMD has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall conditions over places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand today.
According to the weather agency, heavy rainfall is expected over Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Odisha and North-eastern states today.
The met department also predicted thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds very likely at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada till tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab are expected to experience hot and humid weather today.
