The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Assam and Meghalaya today.
According to the IMD, Conditions are favourable for further advance of the southwest monsoon into some more parts of the central Arabian Sea, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar during the next two-three days.
The weather agency predicted heavy rainfall conditions over parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Kerala, Mahe, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim today.
According to the Met Department, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan, Goa, Lakshadweep, Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal and Sikkim are expected to witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty wind today.
Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR is also expected to witness rainfall tonight, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds.
