The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal till tomorrow.
IMD said that conditions are likely to become favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from most parts of Marathwada and Vidarbha, and some more parts of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh during the next two to three days.
The Weather Agency said that thunderstorms and lightning conditions will continue over Uttarakhand, Telangana, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Lakshadweep till tomorrow.
Similar weather conditions are also expected over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for the day.
Meanwhile, strong surface winds are expected over Andhra Pradesh during the next two days.
