Counter Intelligence Kashmir, CIK, carried out raids at several locations across the Valley today as part of an investigation under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, UAPA.
Officials said, the searches were conducted at five locations across four districts, including Srinagar, Ganderbal, Kupwara and Anantnag.
The raids are linked to an investigation into a case registered in 2023 at the Joint Interrogation Centre of the Counter-Intelligence Kashmir police station. Officials said the searches were still underway when the latest reports came in.
In a coordinated operation, CIK teams swooped down on locations in Srinagar, Ganderbal, and Anantnag districts. The searches are linked to FIR No. 07/2023, registered at the CIK’s Police Station JIC in Srinagar under various Sections of the Indian Penal Code and the stringent UAPA, including provisions related to promoting enmity and criminal intimidation, officials said.
