Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has reiterated government stand that Minimum Support Price will continue and APMC mandis will not be scrapped. In a series of tweets, Mr Tomar said, no one can take away the land of the farmer for any reason and buyers cannot make any changes in the farmer’s land. Mr Tomar also said that contractors cannot terminate the contract without full payment.
The Minister said, under the farms laws, farmers can fix the prices of the produce before they grow the crop. He said, buyers will have to pay on time or else they will have to face legal action.
