In West Bengal, members of the enquiry committee were led by retired Justice Ashim Kumar Ray.
Today, they visited the Yuva Bharati Krirangan at Salt Lake in connection with the chaos and arson that followed after world Football icon Lionel Messi left the stadium in Kolkata yesterday.
Justice (retired) Asim Kumar Ray said the investigation is now at preliminary stage. Meanwhile, the arrested organiser of the Messi event – Satadru Dutta – was sent to 14 days’ police custody today.
Police have lodged two cases into the incident. Governor Dr C V Ananda Bose also visited the stadium today.
