The Uttarakhand Government has imposed night curfew in the state as Omicron cases rise. Night curfew will be in effect from 11 pm to 5 am. As per the order, essential services such as movement of ambulances, vehicles carrying health personnel and postal services have been exempted.

Private vehicles will also be allowed to commute for emergencies during the night – as long as they strictly adhere to COVID-19 protocols. The production, transportation and distribution of petrol, diesel, kerosene and LPG have also been exempted.
