Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary to lay foundation stone of Technology Centre in Gaya.

Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary will lay the foundation stone of a new Technology Centre at Khizarsarai in Gaya district of Bihar tomorrow.

The Centre will be set up with an investment of 170 crore rupees to strengthen the MSME ecosystem in southern Bihar and the Magadh region. The Ministry of MSME said the Technology Centre will be developed on a 20-acre plot provided by the Bihar Government.

It will cater to key sectors including general engineering, heavy engineering and textile testing and will provide advanced manufacturing facilities, technical support and industry-orientated training programmes.

It added that the move is expected to benefit MSMEs in Gaya, Aurangabad, Nawada, Nalanda, Jehanabad and Munger districts. The Ministry further said the Centre aims to train around seven thousand youths annually and support over one thousand MSMEs every year through tooling and job work services.
