Three terrorists killed in encounter with security forces in Shopian district of J&K

Three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. The gun-battle was still on, when the report last came in.

The encounter started yesterday when forces from the Army, J&K Police and the CRPF cordoned off the Jan Mohalla in Shopian on the basis of specific input about the presence of terrorists in the area. Two-three terrorists are trapped by the security forces inside a house. Among the trapped terrorists is the top commander of the Al-Qaeda inspired terror outfit Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.

Four jawans were also injured in the gunfight. IG Police Vijay Kumar and GOC Victor Force rushed to the spot and are monitoring the operation.
