Terrorists attack patrol party in J&K, CRPF jawan, civilian dead

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan and a civilian were killed early today after terrorists attacked the  patrol party in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore in Baramulla district.

Terrorists resorted to indiscriminate firing on the patrol party, about 50 km from Srinagar, police said. The CRPF troops retaliated but the terrorists managed to escape. Four CRPF troops were also injured in the attack. One of them later died due to injuries.

Meanwhile a man, who was in a car with his children, was also shot during the attack. He died on the spot, a senior police official said. His three-year-old son was also in the car.
