Schools re-open in Madhya Pradesh with 50% capacity

The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to reopen schools from classes 1st to 12th with 50 percent capacity from today. The state government had on 14th of January ordered the closure of schools and hostels for all classes till 31st January in the wake of a surge in COVID-19 cases.

Meanwhile, the State reported 8,062 new Covid cases yesterday. The active cases stands at 60,062 while Positivity rate reduced to 10.8 percent. With 1,757 cases, Bhopal reported maximum cases in the state followed by Indore with 1,197 positive cases.
