Former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab and President of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Sukhbir Singh Badal has been discharged from Nanded Hospital today.
He was attacked by a person yesterday with a sharp-edged weapon while coming out of a Gurdwara after paying obeisance with his family in Nanded.
However, he was saved by his Maharashtra Police security guard, though one of his hands got wounded. One hand of the security guard was also injured while protecting Mr. Badal.
Speaking to the media he thanked the almighty. He said communal forces had made an attempt on him a year back also outside the Golden Temple in Amritsar and they have tried again this time.
