Pakistani troops resort to unprovoked & indiscriminate firing in J&K’s Poonch district

Pakistani troops violated ceasefire and resorted to unprovoked and indiscriminate firing targeting Indian forward posts and civilian areas along the line of control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday evening.

Defence spokesperson said that about 7:40 PM, Pakistani troops started firing with small arms followed by intense shelling with Mortars along LoC in Balakote sector in Poonch district.

However, Indian troops guarding the border immediately retaliated and gave a befitting reply.
