Mizoram Chief Minister and Zoram People’s Movement president Lalduhoma has said his government is working to establish a corruption-free and transparent administration in the state.
Addressing the ZPM’s General Assembly in Aizawl yesterday, Mr. Lalduhoma highlighted measures including transparent recruitment to government posts, stricter monitoring of government works, reforms in ration distribution and action against irregularities in land records and pensions.
He said the government had given general consent to the CBI within 20 days of assuming office and established a State Project Monitoring Committee to monitor government projects.
Mr. Lalduhoma also claimed that Mizoram had emerged as a leading state in the fight against drugs. He said his government would continue efforts to build what he described as a “Kingdom of God” in Mizoram.
