Maharashtra records 19 percent excess rain during June to September

Due to South West Monsoon, Maharashtra has recorded 19% excess rain during June to September 2021. IMD has informed that, during this period Maharashtra has received 1194.3 millimeters of rain as compared to normal 1004.2 millimeters.

Marathwada region has received a highest 48% more than normal rain during this period. Konkan and Goa region received 3560 millimeters of rain which is 24 percent more than regular rainfall during season. Mumbai city has received 15.4% excess rain while Pune has recorded 22 percent less than normal rains this year.
