Low Pressure Over Bay of Bengal to Bring Heavy Rain to Tamil Nadu.

The Regional Met Centre has predicted the formation of a low pressure area over SouthWest Bay of Bengal off Srilanka Coast .

The associated cyclonic upper air circulation extends up to 5.8 km above  mean sea level tilting southwest with height. It is likely to move slowly west north west wards during the next 24 hours.

Due to the low pressure heavy to very heavy rains  are likely at isolated places over Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam and Tiruvarur districts heavy rains have been predicted for delta areas.

Ramanathapuram is also included for another three days in the coastal districts of the State. According to the prediction, Chennai and Tiruvallur are also likely to receive heavy rains on Monday.
