Dr Jyotsna Bhattacharjee former Head of the Department, Philosophy Cotton College, wife of Late Dr Golok Bhattacharjee succumbed to COVID-19.
She was born in 1932 in Jorhat and was the youngest daughter of eminent Lawyer Late Gunjanan Barua and Late Indu Barua. Dr Bhattacharjee was the founder of Angelika High School.
She was a regular contributor to several dailies in Assam and had penned down 4 novels. Dr Bhattacharjee is survived by her two sons and a host of grand children and great grand children.
