The Keralam Governor, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, today flagged off Phase I of Census 2027 by completing the self-enumeration process through the digital platform at Lok Bhavan. The self-enumeration facility has been opened to the public through the portal se.census.gov.in.
Census 2027 is India’s first fully digital census and the world’s largest administrative and statistical exercise to be conducted entirely through an app-based, paperless system.
In Keralam, Phase I of the Houselisting and Housing Census will be carried out from the 1st to the 30th of July, while self-enumeration will remain open from today till the 30th of June.
The Governor urged people to actively participate in the exercise to ensure an inclusive and accurate Census 2027. Senior state officials were present on the occasion.
