Karnataka govt extends lockdown till June 7

Karnataka government has extended lockdown in the state till 6 am of June 7. Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said the decision was taken at a high-level meeting with senior officials and ministers.

The existing lockdown was supposed to end on the May 24.

Karnataka CM also said that the state government has decided to give free treatment for Mucormycosis (black fungus) patients in the government district hospitals.

Karnataka government will also resume the COVID-19 vaccination for 18 to 44 age group from today.

During the programme, frontline warriors will be prioritised over other eligible beneficiaries.
