Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel today administered the oath of office to Justice Alpesh Yeshwant Kogje as the new Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
Justice Kogje has become the 30th Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh. The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Sandipani Auditorium in Lok Bhavan, Bhopal.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was also present at the ceremony. After the oath, the Governor and the Chief Minister congratulated Justice Kogje and gave him flowers.
State Chief Secretary Ashok Barnwal conducted the ceremony and read out the notification of his appointment issued by the President.
The ceremony began with Vande Mataram and ended with the national anthem, Jana Gana Mana.
Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, Deputy Chief Ministers Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla along with several other public representatives were present at the event.
High Court judges, senior lawyers, judicial officers and senior administrative officers also attended the ceremony.
