The political situation in Jharkhand is under turmoil after the arrest of former CM Hemant Soren by ED on Wednesday. Champai Soren, JMM MLA and Leader of Alliance party today met Governor CP Radhakrishnan in Ranchi with the support of majority of 43 MLAs for the formation of new government in the State.
He said that it has been more than 22 hours that Jharkhand has remained without a Chief Minister. Mr Soren also submitted a video testimonial to the Governor.
However, Governor has assured to return soon to the alliance party members after considering all formal legalities. The Governor has also said that the alliance party members will be informed by the Governor House on this issue.
Meanwhile, all the supporting 43 MLAs of the grand-alliance will be staying together at Begumpet in Hyderabad till further information is received from Governor House for formation of new government. The MLAs under Champai Soren have reached Birsa Munda Airport.
