The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast enhanced rainfall activity with heavy to very heavy falls over East and Northeast India, East Uttar Pradesh and Western Himalayan Region during the next 7 days. Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is also likely to prevail over Odisha today.
The Weather Department said that Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are expected to experience isolated to scattered rainfall tomorrow.
According to IMD, similar conditions will also prevail over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab during the next three to four days and Rajasthan till 22nd of this month.
It has predicted subdued rainfall activity over West Central and South Peninsular India during the next 7 days and over the plains of northwest India during the next 3 days.
Meanwhile, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are expected to experience heat wave conditions till tomorrow, while hot and humid weather conditions are likely to prevail over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab till 18th of this month.
The Met Department has also advised fishermen not to venture into the southwest Arabian Sea till 21st of July, and into some parts of the south Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas during the next two days.
