The Chandigarh administration has announced to enforce night curfew from today onwards from 10 PM to 5AM. The decision was taken in the meeting chaired by Punjab Governor and Administrator of Union Territory Chandigarh V P Singh Badnore held at Chandigarh yesterday keeping in view the rapid increase in the number of covid positive cases. No gatherings, parties, social activities will be allowed and restaurants will also be required to close by 10 PM.
The Administration said that night curfew will be reviewed if situation improves. The Administrator has directed the police authorities to ensure strict implementation of the night curfew. He said, stricter measures like weekend curfew and closure of weekly Apni Mandis and other crowded places will be considered unless people abide by Covid appropriate behaviour.
