6 JeM terrorists including two Pak nationals killed in two encounters in J&K

Six terrorists were killed in two different encounters with security forces in Kulgam and Anantnag districts in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a police spokesperson, an encounter broke out late last evening when security forces were conducting search operations in the Mirhama area of Kulgam district and came under heavy fire from the hiding terrorists. The gunfire was retaliated by the security forces resulting in deaths of two local terrorists and one Pakistani terrorist. The slain terrorists were affiliated with terror outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM). One M4 and two AK 47 rifles were recovered from the encounter site.

In another encounter at Nowgam area of Anantnag district late last evening, three more terrorists were gunned down by security forces. A policeman also sustained injuries during the gunfight and is undergoing treatment. Police said, the terrorist belonged to JeM outfit. Police said, these terrorists also belonged to JeM outfit.

Inspector-General of Police (Kashmir Zone), Vijay Kumar, has termed the operation a big success for the security forces.
