As many as 25 maoists on Thursday surrendered in Dantewada district of Bastar division in Chhattisgarh. The maoists surrendered before the Superintendent of police Abhishek Pallav at the Kuakonda Police station. Three of the surrendered Maoists had rewards of Rs. 1 lakh each on their heads.
According to police, these rebels were allegedly involved in various naxal incidents. Police officials said that the surrendered Maoists will be provided necessary assistance as per the rehabilitation policy of the state government.
