Two people were killed and four others injured after an electric shock at a temporary drinking water stall near a Ganeshotsav mandal in Kalachowki, Mumbai, early this morning.
The incident took place on Dattaram Lad Marg, near the entrance of the Mahaganpati Utsav Mandal. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals.
According to civic officials, a short circuit occurred near a temporary drinking water and cold drink stall set up close to the pandal entrance, after which electric current was detected in the area.
One of the injured is reported to be in critical condition, while three others are reported to be stable. Further investigation is in progress by local police.
