South Africa to resume their 2nd innings at overnight score of 118 for 2 on Day 4

South Africa will resume their second innings at the overnight score of 118 for 2 on Day four today, to chase the 240-run target set by India in the 2nd Test at Johannesburg.

Skipper Dean Elgar with 46 runs and Rassie vd Dussen with 11 runs were at the crease at the end of the third day’s play yesterday. The Hosts still need 122 runs to win the match.

Earlier in the day, the Men in Blue, with the help of Cheteshwar Pujara’s 53 runs and Ajinkya Rahane’s 58, scored 266 runs in their second innings. Hanuma Vihari remained not out at 40.

For the hosts, Kagiso Rabada, Marco Jansen and Lungi Ngidi picked three wickets each while Duanne Olivier took one.

In their first innings, South Africa posted 229 runs while India scored 202 runs.

The Men in Blue lead the three-match Test series 1-0 after a 113-run victory in the first Test at Centurion.
