Rajasthan Royals beat Delhi Capitals by three wickets in IPL match

Rajasthan Royals (RR) registered their first victory as they won a nail-biting thriller against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the last over of the match by three wickets in their IPL match held in Mumbai last night. Chris Morris hit Kagiso Rabada and Tom Curran for multiple sixes to take RR to a shocking victory in the end. He scored 36 runs for 18 balls not out. Jaydev Unadkat scored 11 runs in 7 balls and also took three wickets. He was named Player of the Match.

Earlier, RR started poorly, losing they wickets of Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler in quick succession in their pursuit of a 148-run victory target. David Miller put the RR train on track with a gutsy fifty to bring the run-rate just in reach for Morris to execute his final assault. He made 62 runs. This was RR’s first victory in this season, after losing out a close one to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the opener.

Earlier, put into bat first, Delhi Capitals scored 147 for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs with help of Rishabh Pant’s 51 runs off 32 balls. For Rajasthan Royals, Jaydev Unadkat took three wickets while Mustafizur Rahman got two wickets. For Delhi Capitals, Avesh Khan took three wickets while Chris Woakes and Kagiso Rabada took two wickets each. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to field.

Today, Punjab Kings will take on Chennai Super Kings in Mumbai at 7:30 PM
